Gina Giorno, M.S., LPC
Gina is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Temple University and her master’s degree in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Gina is a dedicated and compassionate counselor who enjoys working with children, teenagers, and young adults. Gina was trained in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy but often incorporates other techniques that allow for her clients to successfully reach their goals. Gina specializes in child anxiety, behavioral concerns, ADHD, autism, depression, and parenting support.
Gina’s strengths include working with children and families in diverse clinical and academic settings. Gina’s experience working in different school settings have allowed her to educate children and adolescents in both classroom and auditorium settings. Additionally, she often collaborates with schools and provides consultations to help children maximize their potential. Gina currently develops and organizes groups for children and teenagers at MK Plus. These groups focus on building resilience, strengthening coping abilities, and developing effective communication strategies.
Gina is committed to fostering the well-being of her clients and actively attends trainings. Gina received training and a certificate through Mindful Schools which teaches mindfulness-based strategies to children and teenagers. Additionally, Gina became a certified School Counselor in 2017 and is currently obtaining her Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
